Put Your Best Face On with Bioré

Updated: Mar 10, 2022

As we were looking through the cosmetics section, we came across Bioré, the makeup remover brand we helped usher into the Philippines. We took a couple of bottles home, slapped on a little pink, and reminisced on the little debut of this now-established beauty brand in the country.

We love product launches so when an established beauty brand from Japan approached us to promote their debut into the country, Catch21 immediately said YES and we put our best face on (or in this case off)!

Kao Corporation, the innovative company behind the skincare brand Bioré, brought their line of makeup removers to the Philippines in 2015.

Our job was simple: to educate women in the country that there is a proper way to remove makeup.

Starting a Clean Canvass with a Swipe

The intimate launch for the press and beauty bloggers was held on September 16, 2015, at Spatzle Café in Shangri-la Mall. Hosted by the beautiful Karel Marquez, the event had a mini makeup workshop by talented makeup artist Jigs Mayuga. Jigs showcased two equally gorgeous make-up looks: night glam and the natural look.

After the workshop, Ms. Christabel Low, ASEAN Manager of KAO Corporation, spoke about the Bioré products and showed how effective the super popular products are. She demonstrated how easy it is to use the Bioré makeup removers to remove all makeup products, even the hard-to-remove mascaras we love to smother on. And removing them with just a simple swipe! We don't need to sleep with our make-up on -- ever!

Then, the two ladies from the workshop, having been all made up, took it off (the makeup of course!) using the Bioré Micellar Cleansing Water and Bioré Cleansing Oil. Karel even joined in, taking her lipstick off with the Bioré Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets.

Fast forward to today, from Japan to the Philippines, Bioré continues to be one of the top-selling beauty brands.

Thank you Bioré for making us a part of your launch in the Philippines!
